Corner Bouquets

Almost one month of Sale-a-bration gone!   I don't think I have ever loved all of the items in the Sale-a-bration but this year I am finding myself making many cards with all the lovely paper and the fabulous stamp sets.    Today I spent time making cards with the Corner Bouquet stamp set.

I stamped the first card on the left in Versemark and embossed it with Clear Embossing powder.  Then I sponged with Pear Pizazz and Seaside Spray.  I love the way the Rectangle Stitched Squares fit together to make layers on a card.   The second card on the right is just the Bouquet stamped twice and the flower stamped on all the edges.   The bottom card is a fancy fold with the bouquet stamped in two corners in Mango Melody.

In February I am going to offer three cards to give you for whatever Sale-a-bration set you choose.   When you order $60 you get to choose a free Sale-a-bration set and on top of that I will give you all the pieces to make three cards with your new set.

Always in my Heart Take Two

This one dies cuts out this beautiful flower laden heart.   This time I used Highland Heather and used one of the dies in this set to cut out the background little strips of hearts.   Then I just cut out the big heart.   When you run this die through, it also cuts out the heart which has the sentiment  on it.

It is a simple card which does not take much time and yet makes a beautiful card.

Simple Always in my Heart Card

Always in my Heart Bundle - so easy to use.    I cut out the big die in white, cut out a few flowers with some of the smaller dies in Rococo Rose, and then cut out and stamped the banner.  It only took about 15 minutes to make this card.  It is always nice to be able to make a quick card when you need it!

If you would like to learn to make your own cards, I am now doing Zoom classes but hopefully sometime in summer we will be able to meet together in my craft room to make cards together again.

Always Beautiful

You can count on Stampin' Up always coming up with something beautiful!  The Always in my Heart Bundle is one of those sets.   I was attracted to the flowery heart first thing and could see many possibilities with this set.   I always start with a new set by looking at the cards that have been created in the catalogue.   Stampin' Up has great ideas in their catalogue.    I did my own interpretation of the card on page 10 in the new mini catalogue.

The paper is on page 11 and is so lovely.   If you would just like a few sheets - I can share those with you.  I used Rococo Rose cardstock for the base of the card.    I used Shimmer White Cardstock as the  3 3/4" by 3 3/4" backdrop  and watercoloured it with Rococo Rose ink.  During my Facebook Live, I showed how to do all that.    I tried Rose and Pear Pizzaz as the decorative heart pieces and am not sure which I like better.     They are both really pretty with all the extra pieces you can cut out with this set.
This video will give all the measurements and instructions.

Just Jade and Garden Wishes

I was quite happy with how this card turned out.   I love Just Jade which Stampin' Up introduced this past June.  These have been my favourtie new In Colours.     I used Very Vanilla as the card Base.    I then cut a Just Jade piece 4" by 5 1/4".   I cut the centre out of this piece with my Stitched Square Dies and embossed it with my Dandelion 3D embossing folder.

You can see the lovely embossed dandelions.  Then I stamped a dandelion from the Garden Wishes Stamp set and cut it out with the dies.   I stamped the dragonfly and embossed it with gold.   Then I just pulled a sentiment out of the storage box I have shown in one of my earlier posts.   I just love the way Stampin' Up products coordinate!

Garden Wishes Bundle

Welcome to our first Blog Hop in 2021!   I am sure you will enjoy all the marvelous creations of our team.

Don't you just love a new catalogue!!  There are so many new sets - it is hard to choose.   This is a set I knew I must have from the very beginning.    It stands on its own but it also will dovetail nicely with the Dragonfly Garden Bundle.

Whenever I am beginning to design with a new set I begin by looking in the catalogue.  One of the first things that attracted me to Stampin' Up was their catalogue.   I went to a craft fair and admired some cards.   I was handed a retired catalogue and that was enough to get me started.  There are always great designs in every catalogue to get you started.   I liked one of the designs and changed it a bit and came up with this card.

I started with Thick Whisper White as the card base.    I cut a strip of Shaded Spruce 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" as the first layer.   The second layer is Soft Sea Foam which was 5 1/2" by 3".   Then I stamped on that layer with Shaded Spruce using both the big images in this stamp set.  I cut a 3/4" strip of Blackberry Bliss paper from the Dandy Garden DSP to put underneath.
I then stamped this image on vellum with Versemark and heat set it.  The dies cut it out perfectly.   It looks so pretty on vellum and helps to finish the card.    I used one of the sentiments in this set and punched it out with the Timeless Label Punch.   I put dimensionals behind it so it sets up a little.

Enjoy going to all the other creations on this hop!

Many Messages

I loved this set the first time I laid eyes on it.   You can stamp once (I use my Stamparatus) and then cut them out with the die cut.   I had an old embroidery storage case so I can sort them and store them and pull them out whenever I need them.

I have embossed with white powder on black and Old Olive.   I have stamped on white cardstock with greens, blues and reds.    It all turns out lovely.

Simple Cards

This is the last set of cards I have made with this set of ink.   Every month Stampin' Up has a simple stamping challenge for all the demonstrators.   I find it more difficult to make simple cards so I like to try these challenges.    This set - A Touch of Ink - actually worked easily to make simple cards because the stamps are so pretty all by themselves.   I made the one on the right with Mango Melody and just stamped three flower images so that the stems touched.   Then I just added a sentiment in Momento Ink.

The card on the left I made with Poppy Parade.   I stamped the flowers in Poppy Parade and the butterfly and sentiment in Bermuda Bay.   Both cards only took a few minutes to make.

This set is free with $120 purchase during Saleabration during January and February.   This will be a set I will be keeping as I think it will be handy to make beautiful cards for a long time.

More Cards with Touch of Ink

I have been playing more and more with this lovely stamp set which is only available during Sale-a-bration.    You can get it for free when you purchase $120 of any products from the current catalogues.  I have done some emboss resist techniques, and today I was just stamping the images in different colours and made a few more cards.   This is a set that does two step stamping.  You stamp the outline and then fill in the image with a stamp that colours it all in.

Aren't these pretty!!  I used Pretty as a Peacock and stamped the leaves all around the edge.   Then I put a 4" by 3" piece of granny apple green and then stamped just the flower and the hummingbird and filled them in with the colouring stamps.    I used Flirty Flamingo for the flowers and Pretty Peacock  for the hummingbird.   I just love this set - so many possibilities.
I made this one too just using some different shapes and stamping the images in different places on the card!

A Touch of Ink

I have begun playing with A Touch of Ink which is a stamp set available for free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying purchase of $120.     It is such a lovely set and there are a million things you can do with this set.   I have put just a few ideas in this post.

The top left, middle right, and bottom right  are designs by Angela McKay.  I attended an online convention with her and we made those cards using this stamp set.  I designed the other cards.
You can stamp the hummingbird, colour it any colour you like to match your cardstock.
These cards I created by using an embossing resist technique.   You stamp the images from the stamp set with Versemark and emboss with Clear Embossing powder.  Then you sponge over your embossing with inks of your choice and the white embossing still stands out.   It is very pretty isn't it?

Happy New Year

These donkeys come from a stamp set which is also free during Sale-a-bration!   They are so cute.    I couldn't resist using them to make a Happy New Years card.   I used my Stitched Stars to cut out the gold stars at the top.   The New Years sentiments are cut out with Magenta Madness from my Word Wishes Dies.    The donkeys are fussy cut and coloured with Gray Granite Blend pens.

You have to love these cute donkeys!

Sale-a-bration

I have been making some posts for Instagram trying to show a simple method of making cards using strips of Designer Series Paper.  There is so much free Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper and you can make some lovely cards with just a strip.  My last post had one idea using Flower and Field Designer paper which is free with a $60 order beginning January 5.     I didn't really like the paper when I first saw it in the brochure but now I am having great fun creating cards with this set of paper.

The yellow dots are actually on the back of the piece with the red flowers.   I cut the white background at 5 1/4" by 4".   Then I cut the DSP with my Curvy Dies just 5' by 3 3/4".    I then just punched out three little Readl Red blossoms.  It was very simple but very pretty don't you think!!
