Mix and Mask

All the products this team is showing this month come from the new Mini Catalogue which is available from January to April 2024.   Sooooo many nice things!   The great thing about a blog hop is you get to see many products in the  wonderful creations from all our team members!

I chose the Mix and Mask products featuring the Enduring Beauty stamp set and masks.  I don't own it but my friend came for two crafting days and we used her set.   These masks can be found on Page 38 of the mini catty and you will be astonished  at the beauty of the flowers you create.   We didn't even make cards that day - we just experimented with colours and we embossed with white and gold powders.   Then we also just stamped.    I finally made the following card.

I used Misty Moonlight for the basic card.   Then I cut a 4 X 5 1/4" layer of Night of Navy to put behind it.  The white layer is cut at 3 7/8" X 5 3/8" and embossed with Timeworn Type embossing folder.    I stamped the flower stamp in Versemark and embossed with white powder.  The rest will just blow you away when you do it.   You use the masks which have great directions and raised numbers so you know which ones to use.   I used Lost Lagoon for the leaves and Misty Moonlight for the flowers.

You use blending brushes to apply the colour.   The first layer makes the lighter colours you see and the second layer adds the depth and detail.   Honestly, the two of us just coloured for two hours and it was so amazing to see the stunning results.

Craft Fair Fun

I love making these for craft fairs and they sell really well.   You just have to order the cups, make the holders and fill them with chocolate.    They hold gift cards too which you just slide under the belly band.

These are from November's Paper Pumpkin Kit.   The teacher in me just added pencils, erasers, and chocolates for a fun little gift.   I am going to give my grandchildren some of these for Christmas.

I do not find that tag sets sell really well but I usually make a few for a craft fair.

When you open these there are little boxes with Ferrero Rochet in them.   These always sell like hot cakes and I was asked if someone could order some for Valentine's Day so I am going to make some for that day too.

Christmas Class

I am offering many classes - one or two at a time in my house, or several people and we could make cards on Zoom.    The Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper makes such lovely cards.  In this class you could make 8 cards - 2 of each design - for $15.  If you are like me and send out many Christmas cards we could do a class where you make 32 cards - 8 of each design - for $35.  These are lovely and your friends will love them.  you just need to contact me to set up this class.  I can do any Saturday in November.   If you would like to receive my newsletter where I have more choices of cards for classes .   Many of my customers like to choose a variety of cards to make and my last newsletter had a variety of cards to choose from.
If you placed an order of paper, ribbon or cardstock to make these cards I could adjust the price of your class.    If you refer a friend to me, your class would be half price.

Simple Card made into a Fancy Fold Card

Welcome again to our monthly blog hop and this month we are all featuring a fancy fold card.  You will love all the cards from my very talented teammates!   Just click on the pictures below and this will take you to their blog.

I have been showing how to make some simple cards on my Facebook  Lives and on Monday showed how to make a simple card and turn it into a fancy fold.  The card above is a simple card with a piece of Designer Series Paper that measures 4 X 5 1/4".     To make it into a fancy fold you score the card at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" and then you fold it.    You have to put a piece of  paper to stop the fold at the bottom so I cut a 1 1/4" piece of  glitter paper I had left from Sale-a-bration and then I punched a row of trees to make it look a little nicer.

I decided that adding a snowflake to the top and using the three little trees which were leftover from the bottom of the card would  make the card prettier.   I put some Wink of Stella on the the three trees but it was hard to get it to show up in the photo.

1.  Cut cardstock 11" by 8 1/2".
2.  Score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2 ".
3.  Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 4 by 5 1/4" , fold it in half and adhere to card.
4.  Cut a piece of cardstock or glitter paper 1 1/4".  You can just glue it down or you can put pop up dots underneath to make it a little higher.
5.   Decorate your card to match your DSP!

Sparkly Merriest Moments

I think these are my favourite cards that I have made with this bundle.  Night of Navy and silver have always been a go to for me for Christmas!  These look ornate but actually did not take very long to make.
The silver paper from Saleabration was so popular it is sold out!  You could use any silver behind the white.  I embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder.
This next card is the same design but with Shaded Spruce, gold and Flirty Flamingo Pointsettias.

Which do you like best?

Merriest Moments

Oh my!   I didn’t think I needed this set at first but it really makes stunning cards!  It really is so easy to use too!  I started out making very simple cards just using the embossing folder.  I started out with Evening Evergreen and just added a stamped Pointsettia in Cherry Cobbler.  The embossing folder

gives such a deep emboss that it is enough to make this simple card.

On this card I added a price of Real red and put the Pointsettias on top and I used Garden Green to make the leaves and the sentiment!   This stamp set has lovely sentiments.

Winter Cabin

I stamped the cabin and trees in Versemark and embossed them with white embossing powder.  I used some retired ribbon I had on hand but you could also use some Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim.   I just stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and attached it.    I stamped the trees onto a different piece of Mossy Meadow, embossed them and fussy cut them so they stand out a little.   There is a lovely little stamp of snow in this set and I just used white craft ink to make the snowy sky.
