We all scream for Ice Cream!

There is nothing my grandchildren love to eat  more than ice cream - well....maybe chocolate!    The Ice Cream Corner Suite from Stampin' Up has everything you need to make a large variety of cards.    You can make simple ones and there are even sprinkles which are great for shaker cards.

I made this card first because fudgesicles and creamsicles are my favourite.  I stamped them  in Soft Suede, Early Expresso, Pumpkin Pie .....and then just cut them out.  I used my blending brushes to make a Pale Papaya background and also used Pale Papaya ribbon and cardstock to add a bit of colour to the white card.   I do love the big birthday set in this stamp set.
I made these cards for a card class.   I put numbers on my cards for my customers as they like to choose to make different cards from various sets so this helps it be easy to choose.   Just email me at shandastirk@gmail.com if you are interested in a class.

Inspiring Canopy Dies

These dies are very versatile as you will see by the cards I will post here.   You can use various colours and backgrounds.

I used Soft Suede to cut out the trees and Garden Green for the canopy.   I then stamped some trees and bunnies to fill in the background.   The sentiments are part of this bundle.
I cut these trees from Crumb Cake and the canopy from Old Olive and Pear Pizazz.   I got the idea for this card from Laura Colborn.   I loved the mountains in the background and the pine trees looked neat too!
This was my favourite card with this bundle.  I sponged the background in Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya at the top.   I cut the trees out of Evening Evergreen and used the canopy dies for bushes and flowers in So Saffron.

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

I got my Paper Pumpkin at noon and then my latest order with my Hats Off Bundle an hour later, and I could not resist putting them together.    I just used all the pieces that came in my Paper Pumpkin, cut up the cards that came in the box and added some of my own cardstock.   I cut the hats with the dies from the Hats Off Bundle and added them - aren't they great!!

You can easily make really nice cards just using the Paper Pumpkin kit but I could not resist adding some extra pieces to make even more special cards for the guys around me.

A Strip and a Blob

I did my Facebook Live today on making a simple card.    Many cards are made with this design - you just add a two inch strip of paper and add a block with an image on it and you can make a card with any stamp set you own.

I used the Designer Series Paper from the Pansy Suite because it matched  the Evening Evergreen and I made the tree from that cardstock.   Then I cut the bushy pieces out of Soft Succulent to make the tree .   I just stamped the bottom.   It did not take long to make this card and you can make this design with anything you have at home.

Fabulous Sweet Suite!!

Welcome again to our monthly team Blog Hop!   Stampin' Up never fails to give us fabulous products to make cards  to share with you!   Enjoy everyone's lovely creations!

The Designer Series Paper in the Hand-Penned Suite probably appeals to me the most because I love gardening and having flowers  in my garden.   I am allergic to blooms so don't have them often in the house but love to see the flowers as I drive up to my house.    This suite reminds me of my grandmother's garden - she always had lovely flowers.  My grandchildren love to gently run their fingers through  flowers too so it is fun to grow flowers for them.  The DSP in this suite has many soft and pretty colours so it is easy to make cards.

Don't you just love the white images on the green for a background on the Designer Series Paper?   I thought it matched the Evening Evergreen really well so I cut out the backing piece with the biggest die from the Color and Contour Bundle.   Then I layered the 4 1/4" by 3" DSP on top of that.   Then I stamped the flowers with
Momento Black Ink and colored them with Pale Papaya, Highland Heather, and Soft Succulent Blends.
I colored with the dark pens in the centre of every image and then used the lighter color to blend everything together.  I added three Genial Gems in the centre of the bigger flowers.   The sentiments I added are from the Senior Years stamp set which has carried over into this new catalog.   I love to give a humorous card once in awhile.

More and More Pansies!

I don't usually buy pansies for my front garden bed because they seem to be a delicacy for the slugs but after I saw this set in the catalogue I decided to buy some.    So far so good - they seem to be growing without being eaten.

Just a few to inspire my creation with paper!

My previous blog had some stamped pansies and there are just limitless possibilities as well when you begin using the dies.
I love the Designer Series Paper from this suite and even cut out the leaves from the DSP to put behind the flower which I cut out from Bumble Bee, Basic White and So Saffron.   The Dies emboss as they cut so all your work is done really!
Pale Papaya is definately my favourite new colour in the new catalog.  The pansy here is made from Pale Papaya and Mango Melody!   Don't they go together beautifully??!!  There are two gingham patterns in the DSP - gingham seems to be in every year.   I embossed a panel of Pale Papaya and then cut out the piece the pansy sits on and voila!

Pansy Petal Suite

This Pansy Petal Suite was one of my must haves in this new catalogue!  The stamped pansies are lovely as well as the dies and colour options are limitless!   The Designer Series Paper is also pretty and features all of the new In Colours in the paper so whatever colour you choose - there is something in there to match it.

The dimensions and instructions to make this lovely card are found in the video below.

I hope you will try this at home as it is not too difficult to make and it is a lovely card to give to someone.    I made one in various purples to give to my mom for Mother's Day.

Father's Day Cards

I am thankful the Handsomely Suited is carrying over from the Mini Catalogue.    This set is so versatile.  It makes lovely suits and seater cards but because the Designer Series Paper is retiring in June I decided to make some cards using the stamps and the  paper.

Don't you just love this paper?    I just stamped three ties and the sentiment - cut the paper and voila!

This is in the same package of DSP and I cut a piece to make a matching envelope!  I stamped a tie on Pacific Point and used the dies to cut it out but used the DSP as the main feature of the card.
