Christmas at the Cabin
This is my favourite card I have designed with the peaceful Cabin Bundle. It really is just a basic card but I cut the trees out of the free Sale-a-bration Be Dazzling paper. You could buy the Peaceful Cabin Bundle and get the Be Dazzling paper free!! It makes beautiful trees. I just stamped the cabin in Smoky Slate and cut it out with the dies - easy peasy! I hope you will give this set a try. You can buy it by clicking on the the link below which will take you to my Stampin' Up shop.

I love the vellum embossed with the Wintry 3D. I stamped the cabin in Crumb Cake. I haven't added a sentiment yet. It doesn't have to be Christmas.
Peaceful Cabin by the Lake
I experimented a little with the dies - used some different colours to recreate mountain lakes and designed this card! I stamped the cabin onto a window sheet with Early Expresso and pressed that onto the paper to create the image in the lake.
I started with shimmery white cardstock and watercoloured with Balmy Blue on top, then a layer of Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede. I made the lake with Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue. I stamped the trees on Pear Pizzaz cardstock and watercoloured them as well.

Peaceful Cabin
Aren’t these beautiful?? When I drove through the mountains to visit my mom I saw so many cabins like this one by the lakes and rivers. I have tried to recreate that scene here. I first watercoloured on Shimmery White Cardstock - Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive on the bottom and Balmy Blue on the top.
Then I stamped the trees with Pear Pizazz on Pear Pizzaz cardstock and watercoloured them a bit. I stamped the cabin in Early Expresso and watercoloured it with Soft Suede. If you press your ink pads and sort of squish them - you get some ink on the top and you can pick that up with your water pen.

Sale-a-bration Delicate Dahlias
A new month and time for a new blog hop. We are all featuring cards this month which are available for free with a qualifying purchase in the next two months from the Sale-a-bration brochure. You will love all the cards from my team members and get great ideas for any set you will wish to get.
I have chosen to work with Delicate Dahlias. I love anything that has to do with gardens. I plant lots of flowers and tried dahlias this year. They have enjoyed the heat. Dahlias are so pretty and come in so many colours. I started out just experimenting with the flower stamps and getting them to match. I put black dots on the two stamps so it was easier for me to match them up. There are two petals close together and that is where I place the dots.
I started simple and just stamped the outline dahlia in Gray Granite and then filled it in with BumbleBee. I love the texture of the stamp which adds in colour with highlights without me having to colour. The leaves are easy to add and easy to match up as well.
Then I looked on Pinterest and saw lots of embossed dahlias so I stamped in Versemark, embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and coloured in with my blends in Calypso Coral to match the cardstock. I used Old Olive on the leaves.
I need to get the leaves a little closer but I loved the effect of colouring in the flowers and leaves as well. I added a Bumblebee trinket to the top two cards.
Then I tried embossing with White Embossing Powder on Highland Heather. I fussy cut one out and placed it on top with dimensionals. It was quite quick without colouring and looks lovely too!
I hope you enjoyed all the neat cards you can make with this set and the Sale-a-bration brochure has many ideas in it as well which I am going to have to try. This set is free when you purchase $120 of product from the two current catalogues.

More ways to use strips!
Well, lots of ways to use those strips I never used to save but do now!
You can use lots of bright colours like I did on the left and leave a space for the sentiment!

Or.... I used all green strips and then stamped the leaves for the flower right on the strips. I stamped the dahlia in FlirtyFlamingo and fussy cut it. I added some rhinestones and a sentiment. This dahlia is free during Sale-Bration! It is very textured stamp set and so pretty!

Using up your Strips
I started keeping all the strips I was cutting off cardstock. They are all different sizes and can be used to make marvelous cards. You just glue them on and then you can cut things out of the glued pieces or make a card with them.
