Craft Fair Fun

I love making these for craft fairs and they sell really well.   You just have to order the cups, make the holders and fill them with chocolate.    They hold gift cards too which you just slide under the belly band.

These are from November's Paper Pumpkin Kit.   The teacher in me just added pencils, erasers, and chocolates for a fun little gift.   I am going to give my grandchildren some of these for Christmas.

I do not find that tag sets sell really well but I usually make a few for a craft fair.

When you open these there are little boxes with Ferrero Rochet in them.   These always sell like hot cakes and I was asked if someone could order some for Valentine's Day so I am going to make some for that day too.

Blending Brushes

I was doing "research" on Pinterest and found a card where you just stamp the image and fill in the colour with Blending Brushes.    I tried it first with Pointsettia Petals.   It is very quick to stamp the images and then just use your blending brushes to put in the colour.

The next set I tried was Hand Penned Petals.   It was actually the easiest.   I used three colours but the images were large and so it didn't take any time at all.

The last card is actually a sneak peek of a set which will be available after Christmas.   You can earn this one free as it is in the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

Peaceful Cabin

I hope you will enjoy our Christmas theme blog hop this month.  It is one of my favourite times of the year and I love creating cards and little gifts for my family and friends.   I am sure you will immensely enjoy the items from my very talented friends!

I made the card on the left actually in the summer with the silver Sale-a-bration paper.  I think I like the silver better but there is some Gold Metallic Specialty Paper on pg 135 of the Annual Catalogue that is lovely so I thought I would try that for this post.
You can see the silver paper more clearly here.   Isn't this cabin lovely?
And here is the gold!
The brushed metallic paper makes neat trees!   The card is easy to make with very little stamping.   I put a Real Red 4" by 5 1/4" piece behind just to make it more like Christmas.  I used Smoky Slate to stamp the cabin and sentiment, and then used the dies in the bundle to cut out the cabin and the trees.  I used a 1 3/4" circle to cut out the sentiment and the Label Me Lovely punch to put a little layer behind it.

I decided to show this card as it is the most requested card for the classes I have done this fall.  It is very simple but so pretty.  Enjoy all the other fabulous cards by clicking on the pictures below!

Christmas Class

I am offering many classes - one or two at a time in my house, or several people and we could make cards on Zoom.    The Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper makes such lovely cards.  In this class you could make 8 cards - 2 of each design - for $15.  If you are like me and send out many Christmas cards we could do a class where you make 32 cards - 8 of each design - for $35.  These are lovely and your friends will love them.  you just need to contact me to set up this class.  I can do any Saturday in November.   If you would like to receive my newsletter where I have more choices of cards for classes .   Many of my customers like to choose a variety of cards to make and my last newsletter had a variety of cards to choose from.
If you placed an order of paper, ribbon or cardstock to make these cards I could adjust the price of your class.    If you refer a friend to me, your class would be half price.

Simple Card made into a Fancy Fold Card

Welcome again to our monthly blog hop and this month we are all featuring a fancy fold card.  You will love all the cards from my very talented teammates!   Just click on the pictures below and this will take you to their blog.

I have been showing how to make some simple cards on my Facebook  Lives and on Monday showed how to make a simple card and turn it into a fancy fold.  The card above is a simple card with a piece of Designer Series Paper that measures 4 X 5 1/4".     To make it into a fancy fold you score the card at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" and then you fold it.    You have to put a piece of  paper to stop the fold at the bottom so I cut a 1 1/4" piece of  glitter paper I had left from Sale-a-bration and then I punched a row of trees to make it look a little nicer.

I decided that adding a snowflake to the top and using the three little trees which were leftover from the bottom of the card would  make the card prettier.   I put some Wink of Stella on the the three trees but it was hard to get it to show up in the photo.

1.  Cut cardstock 11" by 8 1/2".
2.  Score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2 ".
3.  Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 4 by 5 1/4" , fold it in half and adhere to card.
4.  Cut a piece of cardstock or glitter paper 1 1/4".  You can just glue it down or you can put pop up dots underneath to make it a little higher.
5.   Decorate your card to match your DSP!

Merriest Moments and Ornaments

I decided just to try Real Red and White and then added a couple of ornaments cut from the Saleabration paper.  I liked the ornaments on top with the sentiment underneath.

It is neat with this set of dies how you can cut out a frame and then cut out the detailed dies and emboss them to create this wonderful detailed background.
