Bumblebee is Retiring!

Welcome to our monthly Blog Hop!
We are focusing on the five retiring Stampin' Up colours for our blog hop this time.   I have chosen Bumblebee because it makes beautiful sunflowers.   Be sure to click on the pictures below to go to everyone's blog to see the marvelous creations of the other members of my team.

Celebrate Sunflowers is a marvelous stamp set which makes pretty sunflowers just by stamping but when you add the die cut sunflower - it makes amazing flowers which I just love.  This set has been put back together as a bundle and you can buy it on sale during the month of March.   I used Bumblebee for the base of the card and also die cut the top of the sunflower with Bumblebee.

I cut a 4" X 5 1/4" piece  of Crumb Cake and embossed it with the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder.  I glued a Paper Lattice embellishment for a detailed accent.
I stamped the big and small sunflower on Shimmery White cardstock with Crumb Cake Ink.
The leaves are Old Olive stamped with Crumb Cake.
I coloured the big flower by using a blender pen and dipping it in  Bumblebee reinker.
I then used a blending brush to put a little more Crumbcake in the centre of the sunflower.

I inked up the little sunflower and stamped it once on scrap paper to make the image lighter when I stamped it again on Shimmer White Cardstock.    I stamped the sentiment in Early Expresso to make sure it would stand out.  I  then added the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I love this set - I have had it for a few months and am finally using it. As you can see in the cards below you can use any colour. You can stamp and then die cut or just die cut to make all these cute little kitchen utensils!

Masks

Here are just a few cards made with masks.   I have used masks before but just for background.   When you use these new Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Madks the results are incredible.

I put the softer colour underneath and then brushed a darker colour on top.   The butterflies just look gorgeous don’t you think!!!
