Gift Card Ideas

This month our blog hop is all about ideas for giving gift cards.  There are many friends, teachers, or family even who we like to give a gift to at Christmas and a gift card is the best way to show our appreciation.

I made a simple one to show you and it is very easy to make.
I made the green one last year for a craft fair.   I made the other two with Real Red Cardstock this year with the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.  The next picture shows the inside.
These are very simple and easy to make.   You can make two of these from one piece of cardstock.

Cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/2" by 8 1/2".
Score this piece at 2 1/2" and 6 1/2" .
You need two pieces of DSP:
2 1/4 X 3 1/4
1 3/4 X 3 1/4
Round the edges of the small piece of DSP and the smaller scored edge of the cardstock.
Adhere the pieces together.
You need a 1" by 8 1/2"  piece of cardstock for the belly band.   Just wrap this around the folded gift card holder and glue the ends together.    Then you decorate.
I used the Tasteful Labels Dies for the bottom of my decorations.
This is the front of another Dutch Door gift card holder I made just to give you another idea.
This is the inside where you would place your gift card holder.
I just included it to give you another idea of how you could give a gift card.

Craft Fair Fun

I love making these for craft fairs and they sell really well.   You just have to order the cups, make the holders and fill them with chocolate.    They hold gift cards too which you just slide under the belly band.

These are from November's Paper Pumpkin Kit.   The teacher in me just added pencils, erasers, and chocolates for a fun little gift.   I am going to give my grandchildren some of these for Christmas.

I do not find that tag sets sell really well but I usually make a few for a craft fair.

When you open these there are little boxes with Ferrero Rochet in them.   These always sell like hot cakes and I was asked if someone could order some for Valentine's Day so I am going to make some for that day too.

Blending Brushes

I was doing "research" on Pinterest and found a card where you just stamp the image and fill in the colour with Blending Brushes.    I tried it first with Pointsettia Petals.   It is very quick to stamp the images and then just use your blending brushes to put in the colour.

The next set I tried was Hand Penned Petals.   It was actually the easiest.   I used three colours but the images were large and so it didn't take any time at all.

The last card is actually a sneak peek of a set which will be available after Christmas.   You can earn this one free as it is in the Sale-a-bration catalogue.
