You will be Desiring the Inspiring Retiring Iris!

                                   

It seems to come so fast every month.   I really look forward to seeing everyone's marvelous creations.   I know you will love everyone's team cards as well.    We are all featuring a product that is retiring!

I have chosen Inspiring Iris as my retiring stamp set.    I have also used Pretty Peacock and Roccoco Rose cardstock and Designer Series Paper which are also retiring.

I just love this two step stamp set.   You stamp the outline and then fill in the colour with a second stamp.     It is so easy.    You could make this card with various DSP and border dies.

Instructions

1.    Cut the cardstock 8 1/2" by 4 1/4"

2.  Cut the DSP 4" by 5 1/4"

3.  Cut the Basic White cardstock 5" by 3 3/4"

4.  Use any border die to cut the side from the Basic White.

5.   Stamp on the white paper.

6.  Adhere the card pieces together.

I made two more cards with Rococco Rose.   Below this picture is the video from my Facebook Live showing how I made these cards and how to use this stamp set.  I love stamping on Stampin' Up envelopes.   They really take the ink well and look so awesome when done.

Tranquil Thoughts Card Class

 

This is a picture of cards I have made with the Tranquil Thoughts Bundle.    I am offering a class to be made with this set.   There is a cute little box of tags to be given with various gifts and all the cards you see in this picture.  

Here are some more cards I made so you can choose four cards to make - two of each plus the little box which holds four 3 by 3 little cards.       I will be doing this class by Zoom and have alot of time available so just leave me a comment if you would like to do this class.

Designer Series Fancy Fold Cards

This is a neat fun fold card and it uses half of a 12 by 12 piece of Designer series paper.  I have used the Garden Ornate DSP for these cards.   I have also attached the butterflies from the Butterfly Beauty Dies which I have shown in previous posts.   The video with all the instructions is found below.

I hope you try this card.  It is fun to make and a different card to give to a good friend.

 

Fun Pop-Up Card

 Do you have a big stash of Designer Series Paper?   Here is one way to use some of it.   This is a fun card that pops open and will amaze your friends.    I have used the Ornate Garden DSP to make this card.  It has the pretty white and yellow flowers on the front and the pattern you see on the inside of the card.   This paper is retiring and is on sale.  I used the Daisy Lane stamp set for the sentiments.

I also did a Facebook Live which shows how to fold your  6" by 6" paper to fit inside this card to make it pop up.   The video has all the measurements and instructions to make this yourself.

Bye Bye Butterfly!

This set of butterflies dies is retiring this year.   I have used it alot over the last two years and it makes stunning cards.

These are my team cards designed by Ronda Wade but I did not have the new butterfly set so I used my Butterfly dies.   There are two big dies in this set as you can see in the picture.  You just cut two different colours and put them on top of each other.   You can place the whole die on a card or cut it apart as I have done here.

 

Water Colour Seashells

 This is an old technique but it turns out so beautiful every time.  You first spray your block with water and then drop two colours of reinker in various spots.   I used a few drops of Pear Pizazz and  more drops of Mint Macaron.  Then I spritzed the block again with water.  It looks so pretty as a background of water for the seashells.

I stamped the seashells and fussy cut them and glued them on.   I still had some Whale Time DSP so I cut a turtle out of that as it matched so nicely!

Pop Up Seashell Card

 This is a really fun card to make.   I watch a lot of Dawn Griffiths videos and I learned how to make this card by watching one of her videos.   She used butterflies and I have chosen to use my Friends are like Seashells Bundle.   

                   

The oval part of the card is held shut just by attaching a seashell that is just slightly larger than the oval hole which is made with oval dies.   The pop up mechanism is really easy to make.  This pictures shows the outside of the card and also the inside.   You really decorate the inside more because the card sits open as shown.
